That's the hope for Seattle poet Elizabeth Austen, chosen October 9th to lead Poetry Roadshow 2006, a program developed by a partnership of arts organizations that seek to bring the power of poetry to under-served communities in Washington state. Haiku Journey Computer GameA new casual computer game for poetry and word-game lovers has just been released from Hot Lava Games, and is available for free preview. The game features 540 haiku by 45 leading English-language haiku poets, selected by WPA member Michael Dylan Welch, who also wrote instructional and informational text about haiku that appears at each of the ten game-play levels.
